History Hub

The "History Hub" at the Grosvenor Museum contains a small library of books on Chester. Many of these are rare, out of print and not available on-line. It is an invaluable resource for historical research. Computer terminals are available to access online historical resources including census records, tithe maps etc. The best thing about the "hub" is that the helpful staff are all well trained in searching these databases and are happy to help with family history searches free of charge (even if your name is "Jones"). The History Hub is open Mon-Fri from 10:30-17:00 and closed at weekends.

History

The History Hub opened in May 2018, after relocation from the Heritage Center at St Michael on the corner of upper Bridge Street and Pepper Street.
