Description: Hello, I'm in the process of researching the legend of the hellhound that supposedly haunted Newton Hollows and Flookersbrook, I came across the above article on your website (the line that quotes "great white teeth like knives" specifically) and I was wondering if you remember the original source for this text? I'm trying to trace where the story started so I'm piecing together a timeline of each time it's quoted on a website. thanks in advance
Nathan

Description: Hi
I want to convert my Wiki to read-only with myself being the only person who can edit it, but keeping it visible to everyone. I'm getting a stupid amount of spam purporting to advertise fridge freezers and accident lawyers and deleting the users and the spam pages is about as far as my computer skills with this software goes. I've looked online to see how to prevent these spammers, probably automated, creating new accounts but I simply can't understand how to do it. Can anyone help?
KR Peter (Hooligan)

Description: Thomas Dutton died in 1614. Thomas Dutton of Chester 1507-1581 is the son of William Dutton and Agnes Conway. PH Lawson FSA's Chart 'Duttons of Dutton' has Thomas as the son of William's brother Richard Dutton of Cloughton, York. This has been disputed in various Visitations of Cheshire, Gloucestershire and Yorkshire. Thomas purchased Sherborne in Gloucestershire in 1551/2 starting that Branch of the family. Description: Hi, I'm getting ads which are inappropriate for some users. I must admit I generally block them with ADBLOCK when I am working on my site, but I was talking to my local historical society the other day and they said some of the ads were for "porn". I switched off ADBLOCK to check and did get a few lingerie ads, which don't bother me, but at least one local school is now blocking access due to the nature of some ads (and refuse to provide further details). Where do we go from here?
Kind Regards, Peter

Description: Hello - the content is not so much incorrect, but the important building at 2 Eastgate Row (4 Eastgate Street), seems to be missing from your wonderful information on Eastgate Street Chester.
2 Eastgate Row was rebuilt by Lockwood as you know. GJH Brown Watchmaker, Jewellers & Silversmiths occupied it from 1876 and was still in the same family until it closed in 2000. Historic England have a very good description of it: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1376209 I hope it may help

Description: Hi Peter,
Just to let you know that I've added a scattering of links to the Chester Wiki. The one on the front page:

is typical. Cheers, Steve
